Refund Policy
Effective date: May 31, 2026
SpendCheck uses prepaid Credits. Unused paid Credits can be refunded within the 14-day withdrawal window where required by consumer law. Used Credits and completed analyses are generally not refundable unless required by law or caused by a SpendCheck technical issue.
1. Credits
- A Basic analysis costs 1 Credit.
- A Detailed analysis costs 2 Credits.
- 1 Credit costs $0.99 unless a discounted pack, voucher, or promotion applies.
- Credits are attached to your SpendCheck account and are not transferable.
2. Unused paid Credits
If you bought Credits and have not used them, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@spendcheckapp.com. This applies to unused paid Credits only. Free, voucher, test, or promotional Credits are not refundable.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe. Payment provider timing may vary.
3. Used Credits and completed analyses
When you confirm an analysis, you request immediate performance of the digital service and the required Credits are consumed. Used Credits and completed analyses are generally not refundable unless required by law or unless the analysis failed because of a SpendCheck technical issue.
4. Failed analyses
If an analysis fails because of a SpendCheck technical error, we may restore the used Credits, provide replacement Credits, or issue a refund. If a PDF is unreadable, password-protected, incomplete, or not a supported statement format, the analysis may not be eligible for a refund unless required by law. SpendCheck may keep a paid analysis attempt open for limited replacement and retry attempts without charging additional Credits. Once those retry attempts are used, the paid attempt may end even if no full analysis is produced.
5. Vouchers and promotional Credits
Free, voucher, test, or promotional Credits have no cash value and are not refundable. Promotional offers may be limited to one account, one use, or an expiry date.
6. Billing issues and chargebacks
If you believe you made a purchase by mistake, were charged twice, did not authorize a purchase, or experienced another billing issue, contact support first so we can investigate and try to resolve it directly. We may suspend Credits or account access while a chargeback or payment dispute is pending.
7. Consumer rights
This policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. If a law gives you a stronger refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or remedy right, that law applies.
